Health
Insurance - After 3 months
as full time employee (upon hire for salaried employees)
MTI provides health insurance for employees. Employees may choose individual
or family coverage. MTI pays approximately 2/3 of the premium. The employee
portion is taken as a payroll deduction.
Retirement Plan
- At the start of 1st calendar quarter following hire date as a full time
employee

MTI offers
eligible employees a 401 K Plan. MTI makes a matching contribution based on
MTI profitability the preceding year (currently the match is $.30 per dollar).
Personal Leave
– After 3 months as full-time employee
MTI provides
personal leave for vacation, holidays, and illness. Rates of accrual increase
with length of service.
Cafeteria Plan
- After 3 months as full-time employee
MTI’s
Cafeteria Plan gives employees the opportunity pay health insurance, out of pocket
medical expenses, and dependent child care expenses with before-tax income.
Life Insurance
- After 3 months as full time employee
MTI
provides $20,000 term life for the employee and $2,000 term life for the employee’s
spouse and dependants. The entire premium is paid by MTI.
Worker’s Compensation Insurance
- Upon hire as part/full-time employee
MTI provides
worker’s compensation insurance for all employees at no cost to the employees.
Educational Assistance
- After 1 year as full-time employee
MTI
reimburses eligible employees for tuition (excluding fees and books) for classes
that are job related, if the employee earns a B grade or better, subject to budget
limitations established annually and with prior approval of a Vice President.
Jury or Witness Duty
After 1 year as full-time employee
MTI will
excuse with pay employees who are summoned and report for Jury or Witness Duty at
their regular straight time pay (excluding any shift differential) in exchange for
their jury pay or witness fee.
Bereavement
- After 1 year as full-time employee
MTI
excuses the employee with pay for the date of the funeral in the case of death of
an extended family member; from the time of notification until the date of the funeral
in the event of the death of an immediate family member; and for an additional 5
days for the death of a spouse.
Equipment Loans
- Upon hire as full-time employee
MTI provides no interest loans to full time employees for procurement of required
tools.
